Lok Sabha adjourned till March 10 as first part of Budget Session concludes

The Lok Sabha on Thursday (February 13, 2025) was adjourned as the first part of the Budget Session concluded. The second part will commence on March 10, 2025.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, “today is the last day of the first phase of the budget session. I am happy that during the session we discussed in a good environment and I got your full support”.

There was a meaningful discussion of 17 hours and 23 minutes on the thanksgiving proposal on the address of the Honorable President. In this, 173 honorable members sat till late at night and kept their views, Mr. Birla said.

The general discussion on the Budget lasted for 16 hours and 13 minutes with participation of 170 members. With your cooperation, our productivity was around 112% in this session, he added.

I hope that I will continue to get your support in this way, Mr. Birla said.

The proceedings of the Assembly are adjourned till 11 a.m. on 10 March.
