The Rajya Sabha on Monday (March 24, 2025) is expected to take up the The Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024, as Parliament resumes proceedings for the week following passing of various demands for grants for 2025-26.
Meanwhile, in the Lok Sabha today Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will move for The Finance Bill, 2025 to be taken into consideration.

Parliament concluded previous week’s proceedings on Friday (March 21, 2025) important legislative business being taken up. In the Lok Sabha, various demands for grants for 2025-26 were passed, with the BJP having issued a whip to its members to remain present in the House. The Rajya Sabha saw the conclusion of a discussion on the Home Ministry that had started on a contentious note. Home Minister Amit Shah replied to the discussion, and assured the House that Maoism would be ended in the nation before March 21, 2026.
