The Lok Sabha was briefly disrupted on Tuesday (April 1, 2025) when members belonging to the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) protested over different issues.
While SP members raised the attack on the residence of its party MP Ramji Lal Suman over the latter’s recent remarks on Rajput ruler Rana Sanga, the TMC wanted to raise the issue of the transfer of a judge.

As soon as Zero Hour began, some Opposition members stood in the aisles seeking to raise certain issues. The SP members displayed placards, while the TMC MPs shouted slogans.
Speaker Om Birla asked the Opposition MPs to go back to their seats and said he would give SP chief Akhilesh Yadav the opportunity to raise issues after papers were laid in the House during Zero Hour.
He said displaying placards and sloganeering were not allowed in the House.
As the Opposition MPs continued to protest, Mr. Birla adjourned the House till 2 p.m.
