Burial of Shahzadi Khan, an Indian national, was conducted on Thursday (March 6, 2025) in Abu Dhabi as per regulations of UAE authorities.

Khan from Uttar Pradesh was executed in Abu Dhabi last month for murdering the four-month-old son of her employers.

Prior to her burial, the authorized representatives of Khan’s family paid respect to the mortal remains. They also attended the funeral prayers at the mosque as well as the burial at the Baniyas cemetery.

The burial was postponed because the jail authorities had said they were awaiting consent of the Indian embassy.

Embassy officials assisted the authorized representatives in this regard as well as attended the last rites.

UAE authorities informed the Embassy of India on 28 February that apart from Khan, two more Indian nationals, Muhammed Rinash Arangilottu and Muraleedharan Perumthatta Valappil were executed.

Arangilottu was buried on Thursday (March 6, 2025) in Abu Dhabi. Valappil’s last rites are awaited.

Valappil was accused of murdering an Indian and Arangilottu allegedly murdered an Emirati citizen.
