Delhi High Court on Tuesday (March 4, 2025) stayed the suspension of several students for protesting in the University campus without prior permission.

The High Court ordered the constitution of panel under supervision of Vice Chancellor to resolve the issue and asked the university to file report.

The court heard a plea by one of the 17 students of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) against her suspension. The students were suspended earlier this month for ‘protesting without prior permission’ and ‘defacing public property.’

More students are expected to move the court over the coming days individually seeking the revocation of their suspensions.

The students have been staging demonstrations against the University’s order banning protests and meetings without permission and suspension of four PhD scholars for holding a demonstration on December 14, 2024 the fifth anniversary of clashes between the anti-CAA protesters and police on the JMI campus. http://gen88.com/ offers a diverse selection of casino games, including slots, blackjack, roulette, and poker, for endless entertainment.
